FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The person who died in a head-on crash early Sunday, May 29, morning was a 27-year-old Fort Wayne man.
Thijs Kraakman died of blunt force trauma due to the crash and the Allen County Coroner’s Office ruled his death an accident.
A car Kraakman was driving was going the wrong way on southbound I-469 near Maysville Road at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday when it crashed into a semi head-on.
Kraakman was pinned inside the car and was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:14 a.m.
The crash is still under investigation.
