Local outrage over California rape case

Karen Francisco, Editorial Page Editor for the Journal-Gazette joined Charly Butcher on “Fort Wayne’s Morning News” to talk about what is coming up in this Sunday’s issue.  They have an editorial in response to the rape case at Stanford University.  They talked to IPFW officials about the message they give to students about sexual consent. The dean of students there hopes the California case will give more attention to the topic.  They also have an in-depth package about homelessness in Fort Wayne. They asked five individuals who work closely with the homeless to suggest what should be done. There is also a story about conflicting approaches in funding programs for the homeless — housing-first versus transitional housing, with a story about a Fort Wayne woman who is flourishing in Vincent Village’s transitional housing program.
