One hurt in Steuben County crash

PLEASANT LAKE, Ind. (WOWO): A 20-year-old Hudson man was hurt after being trapped in his vehicle following a crash early this morning in Pleasant Lake.

The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department tells WOWO news it happened at the intersection of Main and State streets at about 1:40am. Mitchell Musser had been driving “at a high rate of speed” on Main before going off the road, onto a sidewalk, and slamming into a utility pole.

He was pinned in the driver’s seat and had to to be extricated from the car by Steuben Township fire personnel. He was airlifted to a hospital for injuries to his leg.

Police say both alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
