INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Republicans hoping to take Indiana Gov. Mike Pence’s place on the November ballot have one more full day of jockeying ahead of them before state Republican Party leaders make their pick.

Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb will fill in for Pence at the Statehouse on Monday for release of the state’s fiscal year report, which Pence has used in previous years to tout Indiana’s sizeable cash reserves.

Pence announced Friday that he was backing Holcomb to replace him as the Republican nominee for governor after he withdrew to become Donald Trump’s vice presidential running mate. Other leading candidates for the nomination are U.S. Reps. Susan Brooks and Todd Rokita.

The 22-member Indiana Republican state committee is voting Tuesday on the nominee. Pence starts an out-of-state campaign trip for Trump on Monday.
