Family safely escapes a house fire on south side of Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): It took crews about 9 minutes to put out a fire on the south side of Fort Wayne.

The alarm was set for the home on Webster St. near W. Fairfax Ave. around 2:09 p.m. Monday. When firefighters arrived, the found smoke coming out of the back of the home.

Two adults and three children, along with three dogs, were able to get out safely.

All together the home received minor fire damage, moderate water damage and moderate smoke damage.
