Circle City IN Pride festival to move site in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Organizers of an LGBT festival in Indianapolis say the event will move to a bigger site next year.

Indy Pride announced Friday that the Circle City IN Pride festival will move to Military Park at White River State Park next June. The festival for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community had been held at the American Legion Mall since 2010 and organizers said more than 100,000 people attended this year.

Organizers say Military Park will provide more space and staging opportunities.

The Indy Pride board of directors also announced a search for an executive director.
