Woman in critical condition after Fort Wayne shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A woman is in critical condition after an early morning shooting on Sunday.

The Fort Wayne Police Department were called to a home in the 3500 block of New Haven Avenue just before 6:45 a.m. They found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

Police say she was inside the home when someone came to the front door and started shooting. Investigators are trying to figure out if the woman knows her attacker, or if she was the intended target.

Police have interviewed at least one witness and are searching for any additional witnesses.
