LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A horse died and a woman was hospitalized after an early morning crash on Tuesday.

At about 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, crews were called to the area of 5190 West U.S. 20 on reports of a crash, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department. 

When police arrived, they learned there was a crash involving a car and a large horse. The horse died on impact.

The driver was hospitalized for head injuries.

The car was totaled in the crash.
