FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The University of Saint Francis and Manchester University have signed an agreement to partner together and create a program allowing students to obtain a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.

Students with the University of Saint Francis Kinesiology and Nutrition Department that are interested in athletic training will have a way to pursue their master’s degree.  As long as they meet the Manchester University requirements for their Athletic Training program, they will be guaranteed a spot at their school.

University of Saint Francis Chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Nutrition, Dr. Matthew Hopf, says “This is a win-win situation for both schools and especially USF students,” also “Students in the USF Kinesiology and Nutrition program who are interested in becoming Athletic Trainers can plan for the future knowing they have a guaranteed seat in an Athletic Training program.”

For more information about the new Master’s Degree in Athletic Training program, contact Dr. Matthew Hopf at 260-399-7700 extension 8226 or you can email him at mopf@sf.edu.
