Former Congressional Candidate Of Indianapolis Agrees To Plea Deal

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) — Former congressional candidate Gabriel Whitley of Indianapolis has agreed to plead guilty in a campaign finance fraud case.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana says Whitley lied about raising hundreds of thousands of dollars before the May 2024 primary.

He will plead guilty to making false statements to the Federal Election Commission.

Whitley will be sentenced January 28th and faces up to five years in prison, a 250-thousand-dollar fine, and three years of probation.
