Actor’s Memorabilia Spent Months in Ex-Indiana Bar

GOSHEN, Ind. (AP) _ Hundreds of actor Burt Reynolds' personal collection going up for auction in Las Vegas just finished spending months inside a former bar in northern Indiana.

Goshen native Darren Julien had the personal memorabilia shipped in August to his hometown, where family members helped catalog and photograph the clothing, artwork, movie props and other items for the auction that starts Thursday.

Julien tells The Elkhart Truth he's known Reynolds for many years and that his Julien's Auctions company estimated the items being sold to be worth between $2 million and $3 million.

Julien's sister, Dawn Woods, tells The Goshen News that those working with the Reynolds items were careful to keep quiet about what was in the former bar next door to a pizzeria.
