ANGOLA, Ind. (WOWO): An Angola woman was taken into custody Thursday on alleged child neglect charges. Just after 8:00 p.m. yesterday, Steuben County Sheriff's deputies arrested 21-year-old Shyanne Kauffman on a warrant charging her with one count of neglect of a dependent causing serious bodily injury. The arrest follows a nearly 6 month investigation, during which time detectives were contacted by the Department of Child Services regarding a 6 month old infant who allegedly had been malnourished and was admitted to the hospital and placed on a ventilator.
