CLAYPOOL, Ind. (WOWO): A high school senior from Kosciusko County has finished as a runner-up for a high-profile national honor.
Maggie Liu of Claypool was a finalist in the National Federation of Independent Business’ Young Entrepreneur Award competition with her creation of a clothing company targeted at trendy girls.
Inside Indiana Business reports it’s called MXL Outfitters and has already made tens of thousands of dollars through orders across the country.
While she didn’t win the competition, she did walk away with a scholarship from the NFIB and got some face time with Indiana Senators Joe Donnelly and Dan Coats.
