INDIANAPOLIS (AP): A hearing on allegations former Indiana Schools Superintendent Tony Bennett misused his state office to do political work has been delayed until May.
 
       The State Ethics Commission had originally planned to hear Bennett's case Wednesday, but the hearing was rescheduled to May 8.
 
       Inspector General David Thomas filed charges against Bennett last November alleging Bennett misused state resources and staff in support of his 2012 re-election bid. The Associated Press reported last September that Bennett had maintained campaign fundraising lists on state computers and directed state staff to dissect a campaign video of his Democratic opponent.
 
       The ethics commission could potentially bar Bennett from future state employment and refer allegations to a prosecutor. Bennett resigned as Florida's schools chief last August amid an Indiana grade-changing scandal involving a charter school.
