Blueberry Farmer Killed Working on Equipment

LAPAZ, Ind. (AP): Authorities say a northern Indiana farmer was fatally injured after his clothing became caught in irrigation equipment. The Marshall County coroner’s office says family members found the body of 61-year-old Rick Pertics next to the irrigation equipment Monday on his blueberry farm near the town of LaPaz. Reports say Pertics’ wife told investigators that he had gone out the night before to work on the equipment.
