Bob Chase Nets Broadcast Award

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Another honor for WOWO's Bob Chase. The ECHL has named the Komet announcer its Broadcaster of the Year.

It's based on a vote of the leagues broadcasters and media relations directors.

Chase has been broadcasting Komet games for 61 years. He'll return this October for his 62nd season.

You can hear him when the Komets open the season Oct. 17 in Indianapolis. The Fort Wayne home opener is slated for Saturday Oct. 18.
