WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP): Officials at Purdue University say the school has hired a Chicago-based firm to help the school look for its next athletic director.

Purdue board of trustees chairman Michael Berghoff tells the (Lafayette) Journal and Courier that representatives from DHR International attended the search committee’s first meeting last week.

Berghoff says DHR International will seek feedback over the next month from Purdue stakeholders regarding the skill set and criteria they feel are important in the next athletic director. He says the firm will then develop a job description and compile a list of candidates.

Purdue athletic director Morgan Burke announced in February that he would retire in July 2017 after nearly 26 years.
