City Utilities receives national honor

There’s another honor in store for Fort Wayne City Utilities.

On Wednesday, residents were invited to tour the water filtration plant. It was a look behind the scenes, but its also a celebration of the receiving the Platinum Award for Excellence in Utility Management.

Only 10 out of 150,000 water utilities in the United States received the honor.  It’s based on quality water, management and organization, as well and training and billing.

They serves more than 300,000 residents, processing 11 billion gallons of drinking water and 17 billion of waste water every every.
