INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indiana state troopers plan to crack down on motorists and truck drivers who drive aggressively around each other. 

The Indiana State Police say they’ll participate in a federal program aimed at such aggressive driving starting Sunday. The Motor Carrier Safety Administration program is aimed at reducing the number of crashes involving commercial motor vehicles and passenger cars and will run through June 8.
 
High visibility traffic enforcement is part of the program. Troopers will specifically look for motorists who drive dangerously around semi-trailers and other commercial motor vehicles. Police will be watching for unsafe lane changes, failure to yield the right of way and following too closely. 
 
Police advise motorists to allow plenty of space and to stay out of truckers’ blind spots.
