SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ Attorneys for a man accused of planning a home explosion that gutted an Indianapolis subdivision and killed two neighbors finished presenting their case after calling one witness.
 
Attorneys for Mark Leonard on Thursday called Indianapolis police Detective Aaron Carter, who interviewed Leonard's former girlfriend, Monserrate Shirley, several days after the explosion. Carter testified Thursday that Shirley told him she had nothing to do with the explosion and whoever was behind it should go to jail for life.
 
Shirley has pleaded guilty to two conspiracy charges as part of a plea agreement and testified against Leonard last week.
 
Earlier Thursday, prosecutors finished presenting more than 160 witnesses in the month-long trial. The jury is scheduled to hear closing arguments on Monday and begin deliberating on Tuesday.
