WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) – Police have arrested a man in connection with the slashing of tires on more than 60 vehicles near Purdue University's campus in West Lafayette.

The West Lafayette Police Department says officers found the 19-year-old man holding a knife after callers reported the tire slashing late Sunday. The Journal & Courier and WLFI-TV report the man was jailed on preliminary charges of public intoxication and criminal mischief.
