FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Early voting is strong in Allen County.

The Allen County Election Board tells the Journal Gazette that so far, nearly 5,700 people have voted early at the Rousseau Centre in downtown Fort Wayne.

That’s more than twice as many who did so for the last midterm elections, in 2014.

Elections Director Beth Dlug adds that absentee ballot requests are also up by about 3,500 compared to 2014, and the number of ballots cast every day in-person is averaging in the 400s.

Election Day is November 6th. Early voting continues through November 5th.
