ELKHART, IND. (WOWO) — Authorities are investigating after a partially decomposed body was discovered in a wooded area in Elkhart on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the discovery was made in the 2600 block of Links Drive, with dispatch receiving the call at approximately 2:30 p.m. on June 10 according to WNDU.

Discovery of the body

The Elkhart Police Department confirmed the body was located in a wooded area near Links Drive. Officials said the remains were those of a male, but his identity has not yet been determined.

No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death have been released at this time.
