Event to Honor Memory of a Bishop Dwenger student.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Bishop Dwenger High School is hosting a walk/run to pay tribute to Haley Nellum. The 17-year-old Nellum was killed last March in a drunk driving crash as a suspect speed away from a crime scene.

The 2.1 mile course remembers her number, 21, from her basketball jersey. Organizers say they want to draw attention to the dangers of drunk and impaired driving. Donations collected from the event will go for a scholarship established in Nellum name.

The walk is Saturday from 9 a.m. to Noon at the high school track.
