FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Flint Michigan water crisis is far from over and Fort Wayne residents and organizations are still stepping up to help.
The latest to lend a hand is the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne.
The foundation donated $10,000 of emergency funding to the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, according to a press release from CFGFW.

The money will be used to ensure long-term change in Flint water, the press release stated.

“It is common for community foundations to reach out to other communities in times of crisis. Should a disaster befall us, I would expect other community foundations to do the same,” David Bennett, executive director at Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, said.

The money came from the Community Grantmaking Fund, which is comprised of donations from community members.
