FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Community Harvest Food Bank is asking you to spread the love, with peanut butter.

The food bank is teaming up with the Fort Wayne Komets to spark donations to the 11th annual Stuff A Bus Event. Ivy Tech, IPFW and Citilink are also partnering in the effort to feed the hungry in the area.

Steve Corona with Community Harvest Food Bank says peanut butter is a win-win. He say says it's perfect because it's beloved by young and old for its taste, and packed with protein.

For every jar of peanut butter or two canned items given, donors will also eligible for Komets tickets, while supplies last.

The food drive is in place from Monday through Sunday, April 12. Donations will be accepted at Community Harvest Food Bank offices, Citilink's Central Station downtown and Leesburg Road office, IPFW (information desks in Walb Union, Kettler Hall or Student housing) and IVY Tech (information desks at north and south campuses.)

You can also donate canned food and cash at hockey games Wednesday and Saturday, April 11.
