Woman’s Body Found after Brother Dies on Bike

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) _ The only known living relative of a Muncie man killed riding his bicycle was found dead when a deputy coroner went to check on her.

Delaware County Coroner Scott Hahn tells The Star-Press that 69-year-old Truly Stines of Muncie was found dead in her apartment Monday by a deputy coroner who went there on a welfare check after authorities were unable to contact her about her brother's accident.

Sixty-eight-year-old Rodney Stines died Sunday when he rode his bicycle into the path of a car at a street crossing on the Cardinal Greenway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hahn says Truly Stines died before her brother, likely sometime late last week. Her death was under investigation and an autopsy was to be performed later this week.
