FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne City Councilman Paul Ensley filed a police report Tuesday explaining his side of what happened during a domestic assault reported at his home earlier this week.

He filed it before he arrived late to Fort Wayne City Council meeting with scrapes and scratches on his face.

In the report, Ensley told Fort Wayne Police his girlfriend was an alcoholic and became enraged when he asked about her drinking Monday.

He said she then attacked him by breaking his glasses, biting him and throwing a space heater at his head. She then ran outside and had someone call the police.

Ensley also said the officer who responded to the call was rude and used profanity so he asked him to leave the house.

The first police report said Ensley threatened to call Public Safety Officer Rust York to have an officer fired and he refused to identify himself. Ensley said he didn’t threaten the officer and provided audio to 21Alive of the conversation between the officer and himself.

No arrests have been made.
