Fort Wayne man pleads guilty to neglecting an infant

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man will spend up to five years in jail after pleading guilty to neglecting an infant.

Roy E. Crosley, 27, pleaded guilty Wednesday to the level 5 felony, according to the News-Sentinel.

In May 2015, Crosley admitted he fell asleep while watching a 6-month-old boy with a 76-pound pit bull in the house.

Crosley told a detective when he woke up, there were bruises on the boy’s cheek and redness around his eyes. But he didn’t explain how the bruises happened.

The plea agreement says a battery charge will be dismissed during sentencing. Crosley faces five years in prison and must serve 75 percent of that time.

Crosley is scheduled to be sentenced May 3 in Allen Superior Court.

I would perceive that if the “pit bull” caused injury it would be more than bruises. The man is a suspect. Think about animal behavior.
