Fort Wayne Salvation Army accepting applications for Christmas assistance

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Salvation Army is accepting applications for Christmas assistance.

The Salvation Army is taking applications for its Christmas assistance programs including Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, food vouchers and Adopt-a-Family. The applications will be accepted between Oct. 11 and Oct. 21, according to the Salvation Army.

  • On Oct. 11, applications for families whose last name begins with A through F will be accepted.
  • On Oct. 12, applications for families whose last name begins with G through M will be accepted.
  • On Oct. 13, applications for families whose last name begins with N through R will be accepted.
  • On Oct. 14, applications for families whose last name begins with S through Z will be accepted.
  • Oct. 17 through Oct. 21 applications will be open to all families.

Residents can apply in person at The Salvation Army at 2901 N. Clinton St.

Individuals must come with a photo ID of the head of household, social security of ITIN card for each member of the household, original birth certificates for all children under the age of 18, proof of all income, proof of all expenses and proof of any assistance. Single parent households must also show proof of child support.
