ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – Emergency crews are responding to a garbage truck explosion in Bristol.

Our partners in news at WNDU report it happened Friday morning near Bristol Elementary School, which is in the 700 block of Indiana Street.

At 10:19 a.m., Elkhart Community Schools posted the following message on Facebook:

Bristol families: Please be aware there is an accident involving a trash hauler in front of Bristol Elementary. Bristol Police and Fire are on scene. No injuries to students or staff.
