GARRETT, Ind. (WOWO): A Garrett man was taken to the hospital Friday night after a rollover crash in DeKalb County.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, 38-year-old Jody Compton was driving west on State Road 8 around 10:20 p.m., when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. His vehicle left the road and rolled several times before ending up in a ditch.

Compton was able to exit his vehicle on his own, but once police and medics arrived on the scene, he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of several broken ribs.
