GE Discussing Plans to Demolish Office Building on Broadway

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): GE is working with the City of Fort Wayne to demolish an office building on Broadway, near McCulloch Park.

The building was gutted last year due to water and mold damages. According to a press release, there is extensive damages to the exterior brickwork and cleaning efforts have accelerated the need to tear down the building.

If approved, demolition activity will start within the next few weeks and take approximately a month to finish.

Temporary lane closures may also occur on Broadway during the demolition process.

The City of Fort Wayne is currently discussing future options for the property if other buildings are also demolished at the site.
