GM Under Federal Investigation Involving Nearly 900,000 Vehicles

(Supplied/General Motors)

NATIONWIDE, (WOWO) — NHTSA has launched an investigation into numerous complaints of catastrophic engine failure in over 877-thousand vehicles equipped with the company’s 6-point-two liter V-8 engine.

The vehicles involved were manufactured between 2019 and 2024 and include full-size pickup trucks and SUV’s from Chevrolet, GMC, and Cadillac.

Officials say complaints report that a bearing failure can result in the engine seizing or the block being breached by a connecting rod, and that it can all happen without any warning.

As of now, vehicles equipped with the 5-point-3 liter V-8 are not included.

it’s rather sad to see the amount of problems that gmc-chevy’ford and dodge are having along with transmissions. the lack of quality control . we’re short cuts taken to increase profits? one could ask.

we need a new America standard when it comes to manufacturing in this country no matter what it is. all systems should be tested and retested
than certified before it comes to the market and sold

it’s good , the 6.0 was SOOOO terable needed a quality replacement. The bean counters never talk, production cost on ledger and warranty costs another.

Apparently, it’s not isolated. My 2022 tundra is getting a new motor in it as we speak as part of the 102 thousand engine recalls And that was really only about two model years
