INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Two Indiana Republican members of Congress will find out next week whether they’ll get back on the November election ballot.

U.S. Reps. Susan Brooks and Todd Rokita both withdrew their congressional candidacies in July for their unsuccessful bids to be picked as the Republican nominee for governor after Gov. Mike Pence became Donald Trump’s running mate.

Brooks and Rokita both said they would seek to resume their re-election campaigns after the GOP state committee selected Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb as the gubernatorial candidate.

A Republican spokeswoman said Tuesday that precinct committee members will vote Aug. 13 to fill the congressional ballot vacancies. Those in Rokita’s 4th District will meet in Lafayette, while the caucus for Brooks’ 5th District will be in Noblesville. All candidates have an Aug. 10 filing deadline.
