VAN WERT, Ohio (WOWO): A Van Wert County woman has pleaded guilty for a double shooting that killed her mother and injured her father.

Forty-eight year old Tamara Menke of Ohio City, according to the Van Wert Times Bulletin, pleaded guilty Friday to murder and assault in the December, 2013 shooting at a home on Fulton Street in Van Wert.

Under a plea agreement, charges of aggravated murder was dropped to murder with attempted murder, aggravated burglary and burglary dropped.

Menke led police on a chase that lasted nearly a day before she was taken into custody.
She's facing as much as a life sentence plus 10 years. Sentencing is scheduled for May 16.
