FERDINAND, Ind. (AP): Authorities have closed a section of Interstate 64 in southwestern Indiana after two cars were submerged in floodwaters on the highway.
 
       State police say the westbound lanes of I-64 have been closed Friday morning in a 16-mile stretch between Indiana 79 and Indiana 162 near the Dubois County town of Ferdinand, about 40 miles northeast of Evansville. No injuries were immediately reported.
 
       The National Weather Service reports more than 5 inches of rainfall in the Evansville area since Wednesday night. A flash flood warning has been issued for much of far southern Indiana.
 
       WFIE-TV reports fire crews helped several people trapped by high water in a Posey County RV park.
 
       Scattered road flooding is occurring across southern and central Indiana.
