TOLEDO, OH (WOWO) A bomb threat early Wednesday morning prompted a temporary lockdown at ProMedica Flower Hospital, according to a hospital statement and law enforcement officials.
Authorities told WTVG that the situation was later deemed noncredible after a full search of the campus.
Threat reported early Wednesday morning
At approximately 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, the hospital received a phone call reporting a bomb threat, according to a ProMedica Flower Hospital press release.
The hospital immediately initiated emergency protocols, including a lockdown and an EMS bypass, as precautionary measures while law enforcement responded to the scene.
Police and security conduct campus search
The Sylvania Police Department responded alongside ProMedica security personnel to conduct a full search of the hospital campus.
A news crew on scene confirmed a visible police presence during the investigation as officers worked to clear the facility.
Officials said the search did not uncover any evidence of an explosive device or other threat.
Lockdown lifted after all-clear
Authorities determined the threat was not credible, and an all-clear was issued at approximately 6:00 a.m.
Following the clearance, both the lockdown and EMS bypass were lifted, allowing hospital operations and emergency medical services to resume normal activity.
Normal operations restored
Hospital officials confirmed that normal operations have since resumed at ProMedica Flower Hospital.
No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, and officials have not released additional details regarding the origin of the threat.
