IN Food Stamp Cards to Go Offline for Part of Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Hoosiers that receive food stamps and other benefits will be cut off briefly this weekend.

The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration says recipients of food stamps and aid for needy families won't be able to use their cards for purchases starting at 11 Saturday night as the agency shifts to a new provider.

The FSSA says cardholders should be able to make purchases again by 12:30 Sunday afternoon.

The transition won't change debit card benefits or PIN numbers and new cards won't be needed.
