INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Indiana legislators are set to again take up a proposal that would require all public and charter schools have an employee armed with a loaded gun during school hours.
 
  The House Ways and Means Committee is scheduled Monday to consider the financial impact of the bill that was endorsed last week by another House panel.
 
  Indiana would become the first state in the country to require armed school employees if the bill becomes law. Supporters of the requirement say it would lessen the vulnerability of schools to violent attacks such as the December elementary school shooting in Connecticut.
 
  Republican Gov. Mike Pence and other state officials have said they don’t believe the state should mandate that local schools have armed employees.
