INDIANA, (WOWO): The number of extreme weather events, like all the recent rain, is keeping Indiana near the top of the list of states where residents apply for damage claims.

 

According to statistics from State Farm, Indiana ranks 10th in the nation for claims of wind and hail damage to homes and property, with more than 15-thousand claims filed. As for winter weather hazards, the insurance giant says Indiana ranks 18th on the list of water loss claims caused by frozen pipes that have burst and flooded basements.
