INDOT Memo Strips Info in Public Tug-of-War

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana residents were alternately given more access to their state government this year and less in an ongoing tug-of-war of public access. State lawmakers approved a new law that the Indiana Economic Development Corp. back up jobs claims it makes in widely touted news events. But leaders at the Indiana Department of Transportation clamped down on what state workers can write in public documents following an Indianapolis Star investigation which used those documents to detail allegations of favoritism.
