IndyCar’s Hildebrand: Girlfriend’s Lost Heirloom Ring Found

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Indianapolis 500 driver JR Hildebrand says a hotel has located his girlfriend's lost heirloom ring.

WISH-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1AsrmV9 ) that Hildebrand announced on Twitter Tuesday afternoon that the Conrad Hotel in downtown Indianapolis had called to say staff had found the ring. Hildebrand and girlfriend Kristin Paine had been staying at the Conrad during the month of May.

Hildebrand says he and Paine could not locate the ring before the race Sunday and were offering a $1,000 reward for its return.

Hildebrand says a check will be sent to hotel staff as soon as he gets home to Colorado.

Paine received the ring from her grandmother 15 years ago.

Hildebrand finished eighth in Sunday's race.
