Syracuse Man Arrested for Shoving School Kids

SYRACUSE, Ind. (WOWO): A man faces battery charges following an incident at Syracuse Elementary School on May 5th.

56-year-old Robert Simmons went into the office and was apparently was upset with the noise coming from the playground. He also called the students “demon possessed” and “possessed by the devil.”

An officer spoke with a fourth grade teacher at the school, who said she witnessed Simmons cussing and physically pushing several children out of his way while he exited the school.

Simmons was arrested Saturday and taken to the Kosciusko County jail with a $5,000 bond.
