WABASH, Ind. (WOWO):  A crash near 768 East Old State Road 24 has claimed the life of a Largo man.  

Around 5 p.m. Wednesday night, the Wabash County Sheriff's Department responded to the single vehicle crash.  They determined 40 year old Jeffery Spencer was driving his car eastbound on Old State Road 24 when he hydroplaned near 768 East, went off the south side of the road and struck a utility pole.  

Spencer died from the injuries. 

The crash is still under investigation, and they say there's evidence of alcohol and high speeds that could have contributed to the crash, along with wet road conditions.
