Lawmakers Back Police Alzheimer’s Training

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): State lawmakers have approved a proposal that requires Indiana police officers to get more training on interacting with people with Alzheimer’s disease. The Indiana House voted unanimously yesterday in favor of the bill previously approved by the Senate. The measure would require the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to give recruits six hours of training in dealing with dementia patients.
