Fort Wayne man accused of rape, battery, and more over denied trip to McDonald’s

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Fort Wayne man is accused of rape, criminal confinement, and more, all over a trip to McDonald’s.

Robert Nichelson is accused of beating, strangling, and sexually assaulting a woman who lives with him in a drunken attack early Tuesday morning.

The News-Sentinel reports that the woman told Fort Wayne police he became irate when he woke her up, asking for a ride to McDonald’s, and she refused. Then he forced her onto a sofa where the assault took place.

He’s currently in custody, charged with rape, criminal confinement, battery, domestic battery and strangulation.

Nichelson has a prior arrest on a 2007 domestic battery case on his record.
