Man Receives 6 Years for Cashless Robbery

FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne man who tried to rob a gas station, but left without any money has received a six-year prison sentence.

According to the Journal Gazette, 23-year-old Kameron Bright pulled a knife and demanded money from a Shell Gas station on State Blvd. and Maplecrest Rd.  Even though he got away without any cash, police released surveillance photos and received tips that the man was Bright.

Bright plead guilty and was sentenced to eight years in prison. However, two of those years were suspended and he was given a 92-day credit for time served in jail.
