Man Shot in Kosciusko County

AKRON, Ind. (WOWO): A man is in critical condition after being shot in Kosciusko County yesterday.

The Sheriff's Department says they were called to a home near Akron shortly before 7pm to find 50-year-old Samuel Israel inside the home suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. He was airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital and is in critical condition. Police were told the man was shot by his wife, 58-year-old Jacqueline Israel; she was taken to a hospital in Warsaw for treatment of unspecified injuries. 

She was then transported to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, and charged with felony aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
