Indiana Woman Faces Additional Charges in Toddler’s Death

GREENFIELD, Ind. (AP) _ A central Indiana woman now faces additional neglect charges in connection with her 1-year-old daughter's death.

Jessica Wagoner of Greenfield was initially charged with murder and neglect of a dependent resulting in death after the toddler was killed in late May. Her daughter, Zoey, died of multiple injuries, including lacerations to her liver.

Court documents show an additional count of neglect of a dependent resulting in death and two counts of neglect of a dependent were filed Monday against Wagoner.

Investigators allege Wagoner violated a Department of Child Services order to keep her children away from her husband for the children's safety. She's accused of telling the children to lie about her husband living in their home.

A message seeking comment was left with her attorney early Thursday.
